Greier opens his Silver account with the Plate trophy

CHANNEL Islander Archie Greier began his Cuestars Under-21 Silver Tour career the same way that he started in Bronze – with a trophy

The ten-year-old from St Clement, Jersey, won the Plate competition for those players who didn’t qualify for the main knockout in the first leg at Salisbury Snooker Club.

Greier – who did the same on his Cuestars debut in Fareham in March, 2023 – beat Ryan Spratt in the final thanks in no small part to a 41 break.

The youngster is based at Jersey Mechanics Social Club, St Helier, when on the Island and Chandlers Ford Snooker Club, near Southampton, when on the mainland.

He is sponsored by offshore service provider R&H Jersey, the Parish of St Clement and law firm Le Gallais & Luce. In addition, he receives five pairs of return tickets courtesy of the Blue Islands flight funding programme.

Frame Sports Bar, Coulsdon hosts the second leg of ten on Sunday, October 6.
