Four in a row for Lilly

DHARMINDER Singh Lilly has continued his unparalleled success on the Cuestars Seniors (40+) Tour.

The 50-year-old from Fareham has now won all four of the events he has entered this season.

Another £110 in prize money was added to Lilly’s coffers following the seventh leg at Salisbury Snooker Club. He beat Paul Davis (Wareham) 2-1 in the final.

Earlier, Davis chalked up the day’s highest break of 114 in the round-robin group stages. A total of 24 breaks of 40 or more were put together by the 25-strong field.

Southampton pair Shane Hellyer and Neil Carroll had reasons to be happy following their trips to Wiltshire.

Hellyer recorded his best performance in a Cuestars event. His run to a first semi-final ended in a 2-0 defeat by Lilly. And Carroll reached the last-four on the Seniors Tour for the first time this season. He went down 2-1 to Davis.

Rankings leader Davis takes an 18-point lead over Lilly into the final two events.
