Three-quarters of the job done

THAT’S three down and one to go for Eastleigh’s exciting young potter Luke Beebe.

The 12-year-old retained the Cavagnetto Cup for under-13s at Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club with a 2-0 (46-8, 45-29) victory over Portsmouth rival Jamie Wilson, ten.

Beebe (pictured left) had already claimed the first two of the four end-of-year trophy tournaments: the O’Sullivan Cup, in September, and the Tim Dunkley Cup last month.

And he now has his sights set on the John Parrott Cup, on December 15, to complete the grand slam.

Toby Oliver defeated Connor Benzey in the Plate final.

Beebe posted the day’s top break of 30 against Reece Allen in the round-robin group stage.
