Two venue changes

CUESTARS has been forced to find new venues for two tournaments that were scheduled to be held at Woking Snooker Centre this year.

The second leg of the Seniors Tour on Sunday, October 20 will now take place at The Crucible Sports & Social Club in Newbury.

And the fourth legs of the Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours on Sunday, December 1 will now be held at Salisbury Snooker Club.

Cuestars officials stress there is no dispute with Woking SC. Other snooker and billiards organisations are in the same boat.

Cuestars has a deep affection for the club and its management. We started using the venue again late in 2021 and have always been made very welcome. Big clubs like this are ideal for us because of the ever-increasing numbers attending our tournaments since Covid.

There was a massive 66-strong field for the Cuestars Under-21 event held at Woking SC in February this year. It was the highest turnout in the 14-year-history of the competition and eclipsed the previous record of 62 set in Coulsdon last October.

We hope to be able to return there in the future.
