Ten-year-old posts 43 break
TEN-year-old Mickey Joyce (pictured) has continued his fine progress with a personal best 43 break.
The 2013 Cuestars South of England Under-21 Bronze Tour champion posted his new high against Charlie Gray, from Shirley, in the Eastleigh & District Under-18 League at Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club.
Sponsored by Surrey-based Falcon Pools, Joyce is currently top of the Premier League, despite competing against players up to seven years older.
However, in the Under-13 League, the highly-talented youngster is second – two points behind Portsmouth’s Jamie Wilson.
What is most surprising about Joyce’s 43 break is that it was not a surprise. His coach reckons a half-century is well within his capabilities – not in the future, but now.
