How the seven Cuestars members fared in the WSF Open in Malta
CONNOR Benzey progressed the furthest of the seven Cuestars members who entered the World Snooker Federation Open in Malta.
The 17-year-old (pictured) lost 3-1 in the last-16 to Ashley Hugill (York), who regains his place on the professional circuit as a result of winning the tournament.
Mark Lloyd made the last-32 after knocking out James Height in the previous round.
Wayne Townsend also made the last-32. Steven Hughes and Elliott Weston went out in the last-64. Garry Coulson was a group-stage casualty.
The event attracted 152 amateurs from all corners of the world. All the results can be viewed at https://snookerscores.net.
