Turkey bound

A STAGGERING two thirds of our country’s invites to next year’s junior European Championships in Turkey have been sent to current and former Cuestars members.

The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards has awarded ten of the 15 places to lads who have competed in our tournaments this year.

Players qualified for next March’s trip to the Pine Beach Belek Hotel on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea by finishing high enough on the English Junior Tour, the national under-21 circuit.

Oliver Sykes finished in first place for the second year running. Aidan Murphy was second.
