Ally wins October’s monthly at Salisbury

ALLY Pollard has taken an early lead in the weekend junior section rankings at Salisbury Snooker Club.

The 18-year-old (pictured) from Alderholt, near Fordingbridge, beat first-time finalist Arnie Petty 2-0 to claim the first monthly tournament of the new season.

Pollard compiled a 30 break in the first frame and cleared up with a 25 to win on the black in the second.

It was his fourth monthly tournament win since making his Cuestars debut three years ago.

He had two seasons on the Bronze Tour and is now in his second season in Silver.
