Asten Sahota claims Christmas Cup

CUESTARS record-breaker Asten Sahota has claimed his first school-holiday competition title at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.

The ten-year-old prevailed in an 11-day battle with defending champion William Thomson to clinch the Christmas Cup.

In October, just before his tenth birthday, the budding star from Southampton became the youngest Cuestars Under-21 Bronze Tour rankings champion in the 12-year history of the competition.

Christopher Woodward, who celebrated his 13th birthday on the final day, finished in third place.

Over the two weeks, six Cuestars Academy levels were passed and we had three new high snooker breaks, three new high billiards breaks and one personal best cricket break.
