‘It’s now or never’ for a former Gold Tour champion

A FORMER Cuestars Gold Tour rankings winner reached the final stages of a European championship.

But waistcoats and bowties had been replaced by an array of sparkly white suits, gyrating hips were ten a penny and there was a distinct lack of green baize.

Yes, this is Brad Chappell as you’ve never seen him before.

The 27-year-old from Poole has been performing his Elvis Presley tribute act in venues across the region for several years.

This year he was persuaded to enter the European Elvis Championships at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel. From 38 entries, Brad qualified for the final ten. This meant he would be accompanied by a band and backing singers for the first time.

This is certainly far removed from the Brad we remember jointly winning the Cuestars Under-21 Gold Tour in 2013/14 and winning it outright the following season.
