Oliver and Jordan claim U19 league trophies in final week
THE race for the Eastleigh & District Under-19 Premier title may have been over for a while but two of the lower divisions went to the wire.
As previously reported, Cuestars Gold Tour player Mickey Joyce, 11, had claimed his second Premier title – finishing eight points clear of runner-up Steven Hughes.
In the final week’s matches, nine-year-old Oliver Sykes held of the challenge of Charlie Pringle to clinch the Division 1 trophy by one point.
And Jordan Clothier beat Oli Line in a decisive Division 2 match to take that crown.
Bake Mitchell already had Division 3 sewn up and Daniel Friend headed Division 4.
A new 20-week league kicks off on Saturday (January 3) 11am-1pm at Chandler’s Ford SC. For more details, ring 02380 254834 or e-mail Tim Dunkley.
