Only the second player to pass Level 9
HE’S only the second current Cuestars member to have passed Level 9 of the coaching programme.
Silver Tour player Connor Benzey (pictured), who won the 2015 Cuestars South of England Under-21 Bronze Tour Championship play-off, breezed through at his first attempt with a score of 22.
It came on Day 5 of the 2015 Christmas Cup at Chandler’s Ford Snooker Club.
The 13-year-old from Eastleigh, who passed Level 8 only last week, leads the rankings by 21 points from ten-year-old Oliver Sykes.
The other player on Level 10 is 21-year-old Brad Chappell, from Poole, who won the Gold Tour rankings last season.
The Christmas Cup for under-18s runs every day, 11am-3pm, this week up to and including New Year’s Day at a cost of £6 a day. It consists of various activities – such as the Cuestars Coaching Programme, billiards, cricket and handicapped snooker – overseen by World Snooker coach Tim Dunkley. The final day will be snooker all day. Similar competitions run on every weekday during every school holiday.
