Trophy day for Salisbury juniors
IT WAS trophy day for the junior talent at Salisbury Snooker Club.
Wiltshire’s new generation of young potters were presented with their silverware at the end of another season which has seen the overall standard rise again.
Thomas McEvoy was crowned Premier League champion ahead of runner-up Will Kempson.
James Rogers won the Championship League. And Bradley Brewer was the after-school Championship winner.
John Hunter, who assists Mike Cannings in running the club’s junior section, said: “I’m pleased to see the standard improving.”
McEvoy, Kempson and Brewer also compete on the Cuestars Under-21 Bronze Tour across central southern England.
The trophies were sponsored by Richard McEvoy.
Junior sessions are run from 10.30am-12.30pm every Saturday. The after-school club takes place from 4-6pm every other Thursday. For more information, ring 01722 323923.
