Chandlers Ford SC club qualifier for the English Under-14 championship
CUESTARS Under-21 Gold Tour player O’Shay Scott beat Bronze player Thomas Devine 2-0 in the final of the English Under-14 Championship club qualifier at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
The pair of ten-year-olds will be joined in the southern regional qualifier by losing semi-finalists Lennon Savage and Thomas McEvoy on December 15 if the English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards award two extra places for the large turnout.
The event attracted 20 entries from four counties. The youngest was five-year-old Ben Dryden, from Surrey.
Harry Wyatt beat Chris Bennett in the final of the Cavagnetto Cup, the competition for those making an exit from the main competition before the last-four.
Earlier, Harry went in-off the black while going around the table for the next red on a personal best 39 break against Fiona Cunningham in the last-16 before going out to O’Shay in the quarters.
Mason Coveney, 11, from Basingstoke, beat his highest break with a 25 clearance against Ellise Scott in the group stages of the Cavagnetto Cup.
Yesterday, eight-year-old Ellise increased her highest break to 32 in the Eastleigh & District Under-13 League.
