Semi-final for Jordan at PJT 4
JORDAN Winbourne made the semi-finals for the first time this season on the EASB Premier Junior Tour.
The 18-year-old from Hedge End, who won the Cuestars Gold Tour rankings and championship play-off in 2010, went out 4-0 to leg-three winner Oliver Lines (Leeds).
Winbourne pocketed £45 for his efforts over the two days of the fourth leg at Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon, Croydon.
Thanks to tournament director Clive ‘Statto’ Brown, we know that England’s finest young players recorded 63 breaks of 50 or more, including five centuries, during the event’s 270 frames.
We know that the average frame time was 18.9 minutes during the group stages and 17.8 minutes in the knockout phase.
And we know that Josh Mulholland (Liverpool) took three hours and eight minutes to see off Joe O’Connor (Leicester) 4-3 in the last-16.
The event was won by Lincoln’s Steven Hallworth.
The Premier Junior Tour, for the country’s top-48 under-21 players, is fed by the three Regional Junior Tours.
All the results will shortly be on the EASB website (www.easb.co.uk).
