Another Plate win after another new high break
CHANNEL Islander Archie Greier enjoyed another productive weekend on the mainland.
The ten-year-old from St Clement, Jersey, collected his second successive Plate winner’s trophy during the second legs of the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours at Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon, south London.
Greier, who also won the Plate in Salisbury last month, beat Londoner Donnie Gola in the final of the competition for players not qualifying for the main knockouts.
The previous day, he put together a personal best 58 break in his first-round defeat by Caden Read in the Open Series at Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
Greier is sponsored by offshore service provider R&H Jersey, the Parish of St Clement and law firm Le Gallais & Luce. In addition, he receives five pairs of return tickets courtesy of the Blue Islands flight funding programme.
There were 60 entries for the event sponsored by Frames Sports Bar.
Chandlers Ford Snooker Club hosts the third legs of ten on Sunday, November 3.
