Dan’s the man in Bournemouth
TROWBRIDGE potter Daniel Tallentire climbed to fourth in the Cuestars Under-21 Open rankings after victory in event four at the Green Baize SC, Bournemouth
Tallentire, whose only previous Cuestars tournament win was at his home club last April, beat sixth-placed Carl Sidey (The Academy, Basingstoke) 3-1 in the final.
In the Plate competition for first-round losers, Swindon’s Sam Jefferson ended Trowbridge’s hopes of a clean sweep. He beat Gary Wilkins 2-1 in the final.
Luke Haines (Rileys, Cardiff) leads the rankings at the halfway point of the eight-tournament handicap series across the South of England and South Wales.
