Navraj wins Plate in Fareham
NAVRAJ Landa beat Londoner Dylan Denieffe in the Plate final during the eighth legs of the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours at Fareham Snooker Club.
Earlier, the 12-year-old from Eastleigh knocked in a 47 break against serial Plate winner Daniel Walter (Portsmouth) in the last-four. In fact, all four semi-finalists were Silver Tour players.
The event – which was sponsored by snookerdad Ian Walter, simply to support grass-roots snooker, and Fareham SC – attracted 48 runners despite a number of regulars being in Northampton for the second day of the English Under-18 Championship. Eight of the 20 qualifiers for the knockout are current Cuestars members,
Chandlers Ford Snooker Club hosts the ninth leg of ten on Sunday, April 6.
